Since 2010, Galilee Center has been providing food, clothing and basic needs to disadvantaged children, families, and farm workers in the East Coachella Valley. The organization serves more than 350,000 meals annually and has risen to meet the community’s growing needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This population has been hit hard,” said Claudia Castorena, CFO and founder of the center. “They were already struggling financially to make ends meet and now more so. Our numbers have increased tremendously.”
