Galilee Center is excited to announce their Thanksgiving
Holiday Food Basket distribution to be held again this year on Wednesday, November 22 from 2 p.m to 4 p.m.
“This has become a cherished tradition for us at Galilee Center,” said Co-Founder, Claudia
Castorena. “Thanks to the kindness and support of our charitable donors and the entire community; we have been able to help minimize the financial challenges the current economy has on families,
seniors, and at-risk individuals. They have made it possible to continue our Thanksgiving Holiday Food Distribution, providing the opportunity to bring joy to our neighbors during this season of gratitude.”
Galilee Center is extending an invitation to volunteer and help fill the food baskets. Please call Galilee Center at 760-396-9100 if you can donate your time.
Thanksgiving Food Basket Distribution Schedule:
Monday, November 20 – 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (prepare 700 food boxes)
Tuesday, November 21 – 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (prepare 700 produce boxes)
Wednesday, November 22 – 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Thanksgiving food distribution) Co-Founder Gloria Gomez added: “Whether you’re a volunteer or wish to contribute with a monetary donation, we welcome your involvement in helping make this day special for so many. There is great hope if we all work together, respect and look out for each other.”
Throughout the past years, Galilee Center has provided food, clothing, shelter, and basic necessities to hundreds of those in need. The public is encouraged to make monetary donations via the website at www.galileecenter.org, or contact Galilee Center directly at 760-396-9100.
