The Galilee Center is incredibly grateful for yet another opportunity to collect items left behind by Coachella Festival goers. Our fantastic team of employees and volunteers spent three Mondays scouring the festival and campgrounds and, collected 80,000 pounds of donations. Items collected are air mattresses, canopies, and pillows. In addition, we collected clothing, food, furniture, and many other items that we bring back to the center to clean, sort, and donate to those in need or place in our thrift store, which helps fund our programs.
Goldenvoice’s Coachella donations garnered much media attention, and many featured the Galilee Center, highlighting our mission and services.
