The holiday season of giving will be filled with cheer as The Galilee Center hosts their annual Christmas Events to benefit hundreds of families throughout the area.
Claudia Castorena, Galilee Center Co-Founder, announced the distributions that will be part of family holiday celebrations again this year thanks to the incredible outreach of generous donors and supporters throughout the Valley. “On Thursday, December 21st, we will host our Christmas Food Basket Distribution, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Watching the excitement and hearing the gratitude from the families as they pick-up essentials for their holiday dinners is a heartwarming experience. Our Toy Distribution is always a special day of fun as kids receive bags of toys and goodies to make their holiday extra special. Toys will be distributed to 450 pre-registered families on Saturday, December 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.”
Co-Founder, Gloria Gomez added: “We have planned for 500 food donation boxes to be distributed for holiday meals. We are committed to creating a brighter holiday season for our neighbors in need. Together we can make a significant difference in their lives, ensuring that the spirit of giving resonates throughout the Christmas holidays. Pre-registered families on Toy Distribution Day will line-up in their cars as the car number assigned at pre-register is matched to the toy bag number, and volunteers place it in the trunk. It is a quick and easy distribution, and again, families must pre-register to participate and receive their toy bag. Appointments can be made by calling 760-396-9100.”
